Mother’s Day at the East Sac Garden Tour
Spring in East Sacramento is about to get a whole lot greener—and more beautiful—thanks to the annual East Sac Garden Tour. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, 2025, because this beloved neighborhood tradition is back for another year of floral inspiration and community connection. Hosted by David Lubin Elementary, this event is the school’s largest fundraiser, supporting enrichment programs like Art, Music, and STEAM for over 500 students. But it’s so much more than just a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of East Sacramento’s charm, creativity, and togetherness.
Held every Mother’s Day Weekend, the East Sac Garden Tour invites you to stroll through a self-guided walking tour of stunning private gardens scattered throughout the neighborhood. It’s the perfect way to spend a day with loved ones—whether that’s a mom, grandma, friend, or even the kids. (After all, watching a child grow is a lot like nurturing a garden from seed to bloom!) As you wander, you’ll discover hidden outdoor oases that showcase the care and creativity of local residents, all while soaking in the beauty of our historic community.
Back at David Lubin Elementary, the fun continues with an on-campus experience you won’t want to miss. The Boutique features over 25 local makers, making it an ideal spot to pick up a unique Mother’s Day gift. The Café, Bouquet Bar, and Sweets Station—run by the school’s students, families, and staff—offer delicious treats to fuel your day. Plus, you can explore three on-campus gardens lovingly tended by the school community year-round.
For those looking to add a little extra sparkle to the weekend, the Sutter Lawn Tennis Club hosts the Wine Garden, complete with special surprises at this historic venue. Tickets for both the Garden Tour and the Wine Garden are available online now or at David Lubin during the event weekend. Every penny raised goes straight to enriching the lives of our students. So, grab your walking shoes, bring your favorite people, and join us for a weekend of beauty, community, and growth!
