Cal Cap Docu Fest

Lights, Camera, Impact: The California Capital International Documentary Film Festival Returns!”

Get ready, film lovers! The California Capital International Documentary Film Festival is back for its third year, and it’s bigger than ever. As Sacramento’s only documentary film festival, this event is a must-attend for anyone who loves compelling storytelling, eye-opening narratives, and a deeper look into real-world issues.

This year’s festival will showcase 45 outstanding films from 12 different countries, proving that great stories know no borders. Whether you’re a fan of investigative journalism, heartfelt human interest pieces, or breathtaking cinematic journeys, there’s something for everyone in this carefully curated lineup.

📍 Where’s it happening?
We’re keeping it local with screenings at three fantastic venues in Rancho Cordova:
• Two locations at City Hall
• One at the Rancho Cordova Youth Center
These spaces will bring together filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and the local community for an unforgettable weekend of storytelling and inspiration.

🎉 Don’t Miss the Opening Night Gala!
The festival kicks off with a fully catered Opening Night Gala at Rancho Cordova City Hall. It’s the place to be, featuring appearances by public figures, city officials, political leaders, and—of course—the talented filmmakers behind this year’s films. It’s an incredible night of celebration, networking, and cinematic brilliance!

📽️ New This Year: A Virtual Festival Option!
