The American River Burger Battle is back, and it’s shaping up to be an epic culinary clash you won’t want to miss. Held during the Spring Recreation Fair, this event brings together eight talented chefs (and a couple of fearless fire departments!) to compete for the title of Sacramento’s Best Burger. With your ticket, you’ll get to sample every mouthwatering creation, sip on local brews, and cast your vote for the winner—all while supporting a fantastic cause.
This year’s lineup is stacked with heavy hitters. We’ve got Chef Brad Cecchi from Canon, known for his innovative twists on classics, and Chef Santana Diaz from UC Davis Health, bringing precision and flair to the grill. Then there’s Chef Adam Pechal, a local legend with a knack for bold flavors, and Chef N’Gina Guyton of Jim Denny’s, whose burgers are steeped in Sacramento tradition. Chef Sam Shafer from Kimpton Sawyer and Chef Patricio Wise of Nixtaco are ready to shake things up with their unique styles, while the Sacramento City Fire Department and Sacramento Metro Fire District add some smoky, firefighting finesse to the mix.
