This year, Sacramento will come alive with the vibrant sounds and rich traditions of mariachi music as the Mariachi Festival de Sacramento celebrates its tenth anniversary. Produced by Dinorah Entertainment, this annual celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring an exceptional lineup of talented performers at the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center on Sunday, September 8, 2024. The highlight of this year’s festival is the legendary Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, known as the best mariachi group in the world. With a history spanning over 126 years and more than 12,000 concerts worldwide, Mariachi Vargas brings their Grammy-winning talent to Sacramento, delivering a performance that will resonate with audiences of all ages. Joining them on stage will be Sacramento’s very own Mariachi Bonitas de Dinorah. Founded in 2020 by local musician and producer Dinorah Klingler, this all-female mariachi group has quickly become a beloved staple in the Sacramento Valley. With their powerful performances and dedication to creating a space for female musicians, Mariachi Bonitas are set to open the show with their signature style and passion.
The festival also welcomes back Mariachi Juvenil Corazón Jalisciense, a group of talented young musicians who will charm the audience with their youthful energy and love for mariachi music. Additionally, the enchanting Sandra Guevara, whose career spans over 20 years, will grace the stage with her beautiful artistry and melodies.
