This unique event, organized by the Folsom, El Dorado, and Sacramento Historical Railroad Association, brings together local businesses, groups, and charities for a spectacular race along East Bidwell Street at Broadstone Parkway.
Since its inception in 1992, the Folsom Handcar Derby has been a highlight for community engagement and friendly competition. Teams of five, including four pumpers and one pusher, compete to navigate their handcars across the finish line in the quickest time. The excitement doesn’t stop there; the event also features the Pushers Contest and the world’s only Quadripede racing!
